She’s a year old!!

I love this little girl. Adorable, fun, happy, cute, good snuggler, loved by all.

I can’t believe it’s been a year since Corinne was born. What a year! She has been so much fun. It’s been the first time that I’ve been able to stay home with a baby. I’ve enjoyed every day with her. She makes me smile and just love life a bit more. She is such an easy baby. Really. She loves all food. LOVES food. Loves her binky, baths, James (her favorite brother), and snuggling when it’s time to go to bed (which Kevin enjoys). She really has been easy and I am so blessed. She loves the water. What kid doesn’t! If we can’t find her…look in the bathroom and PRAY like crazy the boys flushed the toilet. I took her down and got some one year old pics of her. She laughed and smiled for an hour straight, even through 3 changes of clothes. They adored her because she was so easy. It helped that the girl in front of her was screaming…so anyone was a welcome sigh of relief!! Enjoy! We do.3261_10-2 3261_15 3261_17 3261_21 3261_25 3261_32 3261_35 3261_45 3261_48 3261_50 3261_52 3261_54 3261_60 3261_66 3261_79 3261_87 3261_88 3261_92 3261_130 3261_145 3261_147 3261_152 3261_153-2 3261_163

Baby Girl

Did I mention her chubby legs? Or that she couldn't wear newborn diapers, ever? That she is the cutest, bald baby?! or that we love her and her chubbiness?!

Corinne Elizabeth Potter

Wow, 3 months later and I’m finally blogging about the precious gift that came into our home! Corinne started this life on quite the roller coaster ride. The last few weeks before she was born I was feeling HUGE. Now, all moms feel that way their last few weeks. But this was the feeling that she was getting as big as Justin (remember, he was 10lbs 8oz). I finally was able to be induced at 39 weeks.

DSC_0056  My mom flew in that morning and I was thinking that I’d be in the hospital by the time she got here, seeing as I was #4 on the list to be induced. I called at noon. They told me to call back in an hour. I did, they said call at 5 (all the while telling me they had two moms delivering and it’d be anytime). I called at 5:30—they said call at 7, I did. I FINALLY was given the go ahead to come in at 8:15 PM!!! And they brought two more people in …one at 10 and one at 11. Wow. late night. So…I proceeded on my way of getting an epidural (in case of emergencies for women having VBACs). I had the pitocin and started to see contractions. about 1 am they started me all over again because I wasn’t progressing. They broke my water and WOW!! I was floating in it. It was crazy to see my stomach just deflate to nothing. Her heartbeat started to rise, but nothing crazy. finally at 5 AM, they found her cord had prolapsed (her cord was coming out before her head) and I was rushed into emergency surgery.  I admit, I was bawling the whole way and during the surgery. I was frustrated because I had been asking to be induced basically from week 37 on. I guess we need to let by gones be bygones.  She made it here at a whopping 10lbs 8 oz. One nurse was all….”He’s a big boy!” I screamed..what??! The doctor quickly corrected the nurse who couldn’t even see…that she was a girl. She got her name about day 3. I have the hardest time picking names!! She’s here, healthy and happy and we are all in love with her!!!

Kyle’s Soccer

The local community center here has a small program for little kids, 3-4, to play different sports (ie: run around for an hour and get a treat) or rather try and learn some rules.  We did soccer this summer…the pictures speak for themselves.DSC_0032 DSC_0033

He looks overjoyed to be there, huh!?

cute smile at least!

I guess he had fun—he was the kid who was just kind of did his own thing. Oh well…he’s only 3, right?

Justin’s Quilt

I asked the little boys awhile ago, what kind of material they wanted for their “summer” blankets. We searched the internet for different types of fabrics and Justin quickly picked this cowboy material by Riley Blake. I had to wait for it to come to the fabric store so when it did, Justin was a BIT overjoyed!!

This is what I cut out for the material…and here is the quilt top. I still have to get a backing and quilt it, but i did get the top done before August!! I’m just slow at posting. I’ll get Kyle’s up…after I make it! His is the Pirate line by Riley Blake. DSC_0020 DSC_0024 DSC_0026
